Security Services

Niagara College-contracted Security Guards work in partnership with Niagara College departments and community agencies in order to maintain a safe and secure learning and working environment.

Campus Security Guards respond by observing and reporting violations related to College policies and regulations, federal and provincial statutes, and municipal/regional by-laws. Security Guards at Niagara College are employees of Paragon Security. All Guards are required to hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License, Emergency First Aid & CPR C Certification and a valid Police Record Check.

Security Guards are available at both campuses 24/7. Guards will call for police support when required.

  • Response to all emergency calls and requests for assistance
  • SafeWalk Program
  • Work Alone Program
  • Lost and found
  • Access Control
  • Support for special events
  • Incident Report development
  • General information and support, as required

Emergency Blue Light Phones

Emergency Blue Light Phones are located throughout campus and residence and will connect you immediately with the Security Control Centre.

Wayfinder Screens

Wayfinders are located throughout campus and provide important safety and location information.

24/7 Control Centre
