Accessibility Services
The Accessibility Services team provides support and accommodations for students with permanent or temporary disabilities.
With a commitment to equitable access to education for all Niagara College students, our dedicated Accessibility Consultants ensure students receive individualized accommodation plans and receive access to support from our Learning Strategist and Assistive Technologist.
For students with a documented disability, we can offer:
- Test accommodations and pre-admission test accommodations
- In-class academic accommodations
- Guidance with documentation and assessments
- Support with on-campus attendant care, arranged through the Ontario March of Dimes
- Assistive technology and training
- Alternative format textbooks
- Learning strategies
- And more!
How can accommodations help me?
- Accommodations provide you with equitable access to the curriculum, so you can demonstrate your ability to meet the “core competencies” of the program.
- Accommodations may support you in class, with assignments and tests.
- By registering with Accessibility services, you may also gain access to resources that help develop your confidence, self-advocacy and academic skills.
