These guides contain suggested eBooks, online databases, and streaming videos that are relevant to the topics you will study in your program. To help you understand what’s in the official NC policy, Niagara College’s Libraries and Learning Centres have created a Citations and Plagiarism guide to help you learn how to avoid common plagiarism mistakes.
Use the guide while working on assignments and projects to make sure that you’re giving credit to authors’ work that are informing your work. Research is building on other peoples’ discoveries and it’s important to give them credit for their work.
Instructors may ask you to use a specific citation style. The most used styles at NC are APA and IEEE.
