Many college textbooks are available in alternative formats for students with perceptual disabilities.
Students who are registered with Accessibility Services and have a documented need for printed material to be reproduced in an alternate format can make an alternate format request for their Niagara College’s courses.
This service is used for required textbooks or reader packages related to a student’s current academic courses. Some textbooks are available electronically so that a computer program can read the book to you. These are referred to as electronic text, E-text or E-books.
You must purchase a new physical copy of the textbook in order to receive a copy in an alternative format. A receipt for your purchase will be required. This is a copyright requirement.
