Are you experiencing a crisis?
Get Help NowAre you a staff member concerned about a student’s well-being?
Anyone who have a heightened concern about a student’s wellbeing or ability to manage the demands of post-secondary life may submit a CARE referral. Concerns may include:
- signs of distress
- significant changes in mood or behaviour
- concerns about mental health or overall wellness
- financial or other personal pressures
- drug or alcohol use or misuse
- direct or indirect references to suicide, wanting to die, or the potential for harm to self or others
The CARE Team will assess the concern and, where appropriate, coordinate support and referrals to help promote the student’s safety, wellbeing, and success.
This is not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, contact Campus Security at 905-735-2211 ext. 6999 or call 911.
