Co-operative Education

How does Co-op work?
  • Connect with the Career Services Co-op Team to learn about the services and supports available to you.
  • Attend Co-op Preparation Sessions and meet one-on-one with your Co-op Consultant for personalized assistance throughout your co-op term.
  • Use the MyCareer Portal and external sources for your job search, then submit your work details after receiving a job offer.
  • Co-op opportunities are paid positions with minimum hour requirements dependent on your program of study.
  • During your co-op work term you’ll be able to link what you learned in the classroom with a workplace setting. Understanding the skills you’ve developed helps create a more meaningful experience!
  • You and your employer might participate in a monitoring session to review your experience and answer any questions you might have during your co-op.
  • At the end of your co-op work term you’ll submit a report, employer evaluation, and confirmation of hours worked.
