Learning Platforms
At Niagara College there are a number of online platforms that you will use throughout your studies. The three most important online platforms that you’ll use at NC are listed below.
Tip: Visit The Learning Portal by College Libraries Ontario for helpful tips on navigating educational technology.
D2L Brightspace
Brightspace will house almost every NC course and is the place for your professors to share class announcements, course content and resources, and where you can submit assignments, access grades, engage with your peers and instructors, and more.
Learn more about Brightspace at www.niagaracollege.ca/brightspace.
Microsoft 365
Use this service to store documents, media and files in Microsoft OneDrive, and access materials from multiple devices. O365 will come in handy if you’re working in a group and want to share and edit content in real time.
Microsoft O365 also includes an online video conferencing service called MS Teams. In some cases, your professor may choose to use Teams for synchronous (real-time) class meetings, or as a group collaboration space.
This service can be used on your PC, Mac, Android, iOS or Windows device. With your account, you can install the O365 application on up to five devices.
To download and log-in to O365 follow these steps.
