On September 5, CKTB interviewed NC’s Vice-President Student Affairs, Dorita Pentesco, discussing the College’s apprenticeships and partnerships with a variety of local employers that allow students to immerse themselves in educational work placements relavent to their programs.
In the segment, Pentesco particularly touches on NC’s partnership with Niagara Health through a variety of health care-related programs the College offers.
She notes, “Our students go out in the Niagara region in a variety sectors…our students are out in the community helping organizations and at the same time are gaining experiential learning. The health sector obviously is a very important one for Niagara and we’re really proud of the involvement of our students through our practical nursing diploma and our personal support worker program, and now we’re really excited about the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree that will be starting in September 2024.”
