A message from NC International’s Global Engagement division:
Discover how Niagara College is making a difference by helping educators, government organizations, and institutions grow capacity around the world.
On February 28 from 12-12:50 p.m., NC’s Global Engagement team, including members from the Global Customized Training & Consulting and Global Education Projects teams, will present on international projects, programs, and initiatives they have developed and delivered globally. They will share their experiences with global partnerships designed to enhance gender equity, social inclusion, and the empowerment of marginalized individuals.
In this 50-minute Zoom session intended for NC employees, you will learn how the talents and competencies of NC team members across the College have contributed to enhancing vocational education and training in many sectors.
What you can expect to take away from this session:
- Learn about different types of global projects;
- Explore opportunities to participate in international projects in partnership with Global Engagement; and
- Hear about how these projects are transformational for NC team members.

Tallulah Williams, Junior Projects Officer
Pursuing her passions for equity, diversity, and inclusion has carved the path and opportunity to work as a Junior Projects Officer with the Global Education Projects team at Niagara College. As the Junior Project Officer, Tallulah collaborates on capacity-building projects with national and global partners across a variety of industries on various sustainable development goals.

Cindy Andrews, Manager, Global Customized Training & Consulting
Cindy is a results-driven training and development professional with over 35 years of experience impacting performance through the design and delivery of training programs for the enhancement and advancement of organizational objectives. Cindy is responsible for planning, developing, budgeting, organizing, and supporting initiatives within Global Engagement.

Quinn de Vries, Project Manager, Global Education Projects
Quinn is responsible for the operational, fiscal, and human resource management of a portfolio of global partnerships, programs, projects, and global engagement initiatives which support both client goals and the internationalization of Niagara College. She provides leadership in the development of global learning opportunities for staff and students through strategic partnerships with international partner institutions, and foreign and Canadian governments and organizations.

Sasha Gora, Project Manager, Global Education Projects
Sasha has contributed for over 6 years to the International Department in various capacities. She has secured a multitude of global education projects through the development of proposals, training, and consulting opportunities. Sasha has extensive experience in global education, managing budgets, and partner relations with business, education, government, and not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Holly Catalfamo, Director, Global Engagement
Dr. Holly Catalfamo is the current Director of Global Engagement with the International Division at Niagara College. She started her career at Niagara College in 2003 in a faculty role and over the years has served as a Professor, Coordinator of HR programs and Associate Dean of the School of Business and Management. Holly has always had a passion for international education and has participated in several projects in Brazil, Jamaica, Bhutan, and Kenya where she shares best practices through her work and collaboration with partners. Holly is the co-author of “The Invisible Rules – What’s Really Holding Women Back in Business – and How to Fix It” which was recognized by the Globe and Mail as an important read on diversity in 2021.

Jim Butko, Associate Dean, School of Liberal Studies
Jim Butko is the current Associate Dean of the School of Liberal Studies at Niagara College. He started his career at NC in 2000 as a Professor of Economics, Finance and Accounting. Jim recognizes the value and transformative nature of international education and had the opportunity to teach in China prior to becoming an Associate Dean of the School of Business and Management. He continued his interest in international work, both in the Caribbean and Denmark. Jim’s dedication to education and helping students succeed was recognized in 2020, when he received the Administration Award of Excellence.
