On February 5, NC Knights women’s basketball player Lexxus Bell and her older brother Tyson Bell, a professional lacrosse player with the NLL’s Halifax Thunderbirds, were guests on Newstalk 610 CKTB’s Niagara Sports Report.
During the interview, radio host Rod Mawhood asks the siblings about their love of sport, their bond growing up and the significance of the Bell Family name as it relates to Black history in the Niagara Region.
The Bell siblings are St. Catharines natives and Lexxus, 19, also mentions that she chose Niagara College and the Knights because staying close-to-home was important to her. She is currently enrolled in NC’s Community Justice Services program and is interested in policing as a potential future career.
