More than 1,000 graduates were celebrated at NC’s Fall 2021 Virtual Convocation ceremonies on October 29 and Education News Canada shared the College’s release about the day’s highlights.

During the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ceremonies, NC welcomed guest speaker Randell Adjei, Ontario’s first Poet Laureate, who spoke to graduates about overcoming adversity and encouraged them to think about the legacy they hope to leave behind and what they can do to make the world better. Adjei was also given an Honorary Diploma in Community Studies from the College.

Other notable highlights were words of wisdom from NC President Sean Kennedy and celebrating the more than 270 new grads from the School of Nursing and Personal Support Worker – at a time of escalating need for health-care workers in Ontario.
