A message from Greg Medulun, VP External Relations, and co-chair of NC Cares in a United Way Campaign for 2018:
In September, we launched this year’s NC Cares in A United Way campaign with a strong start, raising $24,000 in a single day! The campaign continued to pick up steam over the course of the fall term to raise a total of $34,523 to date.
We are so close to reaching our $40,000 campaign goal! And we need your help to get there.
Thanks to many staff and faculty members who have gone above and beyond the call of their regular duties to host or support fundraising initiatives during the fall term including: Research & Innovation’s memorable trivia night, the ncLibraries Spooktacular, Bench-to-Go coffee drives, Chartwell’s Pancake Breakfast, the BBAH’s charity luncheon, Olaf’s Pop Up Girls Kitchen, Community Employment Services bake sales and dress down days, and more. It’s also due to the many people who took the time to participate.
Whether you were involved with hosting an event, completing an online donation, or contributed through a purchase, know that every dollar raised for this year’s campaign will help those in need right here in our community.
I, along with my campaign co-chair Carolyn Triemstra (dean of Community and Health Studies), sincerely thank each one of you for your efforts.
I have recently joined the Board for the newly amalgamated United Way Niagara. Working more closely with the organization, I am inspired by the positive impact the United Way has on our community, which helps to improve the lives of 163,000 local people every year.
With the NC Cares in a United Way Campaign scheduled to wrap up by December 14, Carolyn and I encourage the entire College community to join in a united effort to support Niagara residents in need. We hope those who may not have donated yet this year to consider contributing, and we encourage those who may be interested in extra holiday giving to continue their support for the United Way.

Giving is only a few clicks away when you make your online donation through our College’s payroll deduction. Just choose your amount, and enter the number of pay periods you wish to deduct from -one time or more … the choice is yours!
