Centre for Academic Excellence welcomes new educational developer Dana Wetherell

Dana Wetherell is new to NC. She has taken on the role of educational developer for the Centre for Academic Excellence.

A message from Natasha Hannon, manager, Educational Development Centre for Academic Excellence:

I am pleased to announce that Dana Wetherell will be joining our team in the Centre for Academic Excellence as educational developer, filling in for Apryl Gill who is commencing her maternity leave at the end of March.

Dana brings more than nine years of experience in leading-edge educational practices having worked as manager, Learning and Development with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She offers a broad range of expertise in instructional development, course design and curriculum development including building effective learning strategies for classroom, virtual, mobile and blended learning environments. Dana recently worked with the McMaster Centre for Transfusion Research on its five-year strategic plan including designing and facilitating numerous workshops with the centre’s staff and faculty.

Within the Educational Development group, Dana will collaborate​ ​with​ ​faculty and ​administrators to promote​ ​and​ ​expand​ ​effective​ ​instructional​ ​approaches​ ​at​ ​Niagara​ ​College.​ She brings a responsive, approachable and collaborative work style with excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Personal development is a passion for Dana who recently completed her master’s certificate in Organizational Development and Change.  he also has her Adult Learning and Training certificate and Business degree. Her passions are writing, reading, camping, and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Dana is excited about this opportunity and looks forward to meeting and working with you.
