Staffing announcement: Barb Glass to become executive director of CSCAU

Message from Fiona Allan, dean of Academic and Liberal Studies.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of Barb Glass, associate dean, from our Access division in Academic and Liberal Studies. Recently, Barb applied for the position of executive director of the College Sector Committee for Adult Upgrading (CSCAU) and was the successful candidate. As of January 15, 2017, Barb will be transitioning into her new role as executive director.

The CSCAU is a non-profit corporation which represents and supports academic upgrading programs across Ontario’s 24 public colleges. It provides informed advice on upgrading to Colleges Ontario and the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development. The CSCAU also supports the delivery of the Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) program offered at all 24 colleges, and directly delivers the ACE Online program.

As part of the transition plan we are exploring the potential for Barb to continue to support some of our programs on a part time basis beyond January 15th, as we develop our longer term staffing strategy. More details on the interim management will be announced in the coming days.

Please join me in congratulating Barb on her new role and her future success!
