BIPOC Resources

This page contains mainstream and culturally relevant resources both in and outside of the Niagara region, from local, provincial, and national organizations. We encourage you to contact the organization to determine your eligibility for services.

At Health, Wellness, and Accessibility Services (HWAS) we recognize that post-secondary students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and a Person of Colour (BIPOC) may require support that is culturally relevant to their needs.  The following page outlines multiple resources that not only focus on mental health support, but also support around financial, spiritual, physical, and gendered health. Recognizing how the social determinants of health play a vital role in helping manage wellbeing, we want to offer various community resources at your disposal.  In addition, HWAS recognizes that students can also be parents and having the extra responsibility of being a parent on top of studies may require different support. Although this is not an exhaustive list, we encourage you to review what would be helpful for you.

Please click below to access the many Niagara College and external resources that support BIPOC and racialized students.  Please note that the external resources listed are offered by third party community organizations and are not affiliated with Niagara College.

Do you need immediate help? Resources for people who identify as BIPOC are available.
