International Day of Pink

April 9

Day of Pink is recognized globally as a day to stand in solidarity and allyship with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities against homophobic hate and violence. We invite NC students and employees to wear pink on Wednesday to show their support for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

This year’s theme of Re-emergence marks significant milestones in 2SLGBTQIA+ history, honouring the anniversaries of key events that have shaped the community and the fight for equality. This year is the 35th anniversary of the term Two-Spirit and the LGBT purge.

Join Indigenous Education and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Teams from 11 a.m. to 12 noon in the Student Wellness Lounges at both campuses for colouring and a chance to win an International Day of Pink t-shirt.

All are welcome!
