Please note that Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for North and South Niagara. Winter storm conditions are expected on Saturday, Jan. 19, with a possible 15-25 cm of snowfall expected, tapering off late Saturday. In addition, strong northeast winds gusting to 60 km/h will generate widespread blowing snow and cold wind chill values near -20C. Near zero visibility is likely at times.
Niagara College reminds staff students and visitors to take extra care when travelling to and from campus and allow extra time as necessary. When arriving on campus, be aware of snow clearing equipment and use caution when walking on snow-covered surfaces, especially on slopes and stairs. Visitors to the Welland Campus on Jan. 19 should also note that in anticipation of this weather event, FMS will be closing parking lots D, E and F from Jan. 19 – 20 in order to allow the contractor to efficiently clear the remaining lots of snow. Lots A, B, C and G will remain open
