St. Catharines Standard: Niagara Region partners with NC to inspire future agricultural workforce

NC was highlighted as a key partner in Niagara Region’s updated five-year Grown in Niagara – Agricultural Action Plan, supporting efforts to strengthen the region’s agriculture sector through workforce development, innovation and investment.

The Niagara dailies (St. Catharines Standard, Niagara Falls Review and Welland Tibune) article notes the College is collaborating with Niagara Region on an agricultural education program that will introduce 1,500 to 2,000 elementary and secondary students to careers in modern agriculture. The broader action plan also includes initiatives to attract agri-tech investment, improve rural infrastructure and enhance the long-term competitiveness and sustainability of Niagara’s agricultural industry.
