In honour of International Women’s Day, LCBO.com published a feature spotlighting women leaders in the spirits, wine and beer sectors who are forging new paths, driving innovation and introducing new perspectives across the industry.
Among those profiled is alumna Jessica Otting (Winery and Viticulture Technician program, 2011) of Tawse Winery and Redstone Winery.
Her profile notes that, captivated by the world of wine at a young age, Otting completed her first vintage while still in high school–an experience that inspired her to enroll in Niagara College’s Winery and Viticulture Technician program. After gaining international experience through vintages in South Australia and Tasmania, she returned to Ontario and joined Tawse Winery as a lab analyst before moving into the winemaking team. She now serves as head winemaker for both Tawse and Redstone.
