Niagara College’s Student Engagement team is inviting students to register for RESET (Reflect, Engage, Support, Empower and Thrive): A Student Wellbeing Conference, taking place on March 3 at the Welland Campus.
Now in its third year, the Student Wellbeing Conference is a student-focused initiative designed to give back to students by supporting their mental health and overall wellbeing. The conference brings students together for a full day of interactive, engaging sessions that encourage reflection, connection, and personal growth.
RESET is based on the paradigm of Holistic Education, which focuses on the education and growth of the whole person – head, hands, and heart (mind, body, and soul). Through a variety of experiential sessions, students will explore positive mental health practices and practical strategies they can apply in their everyday lives.
What students can expect:
- An in-person conference experience at the Welland Campus
- Interactive, hands-on sessions led by experienced facilitators
- A nutritious breakfast and lunch
- Opportunities to connect with peers, learn new skills, and have fun in a supportive environment
- Swag, giveaways, and take-home wellbeing resources, with chances to win prizes throughout the day.
Session examples include:
- Sound Meditation
- Planning for Peace of Mind
- Latin Dance & DROM
- Sensory Mindfulness with Tea
- Sleep Hygiene
- Self-care
- A panel discussion on mental health best practices
- Journaling, and more
Students interested in attending RESET can register until Friday, February 14 using the following link: ca.cglink.me/2y7/r381460
