NC’s ultimate battle of wine versus beer is ready for its 19th round and tickets are now available for this highly anticipated event.
Caps, Corks and Forks, a lively dinner experience showcasing applied learning in action, will be held on Feb. 21 (5-9 p.m.) at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus (Rankin Family Student Commons).
Team Wine – students from the Winery and Viticulture Technician program – will go head-to-head with Team Beer – students from Brewmaster and Brewery Operation Management – in an exhilarating beverage “tug of war” for the best pairing. Guests enjoy a five-course meal prepared Culinary Management students along with carefully chosen beverage selections (both wine and beer) with each course.
The winner will be determined by guests who vote for their favourite pairing after each course.
The interdisciplinary event will also involve Hospitality and Tourism Management students who will assist with service.
The event promises to be a memorable experience for students and guests alike, as the Winery and Viticulture program marks its 25-year milestone, and the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program marks 15 years.
Tickets now available
Tickets may be purchased while supplies last via Eventbrite for $192 (including taxes). The ticket price includes a five-course meal, and beverage pairings (wine and beer) for each course.
