Niagara College alumnus Derek Langlois, a 2001 graduate of the Paramedic program and 2006 graduate of the Advanced Care Paramedic program, was recently featured in the NOTL Local, Pelham Today and Thorold Today after receiving the prestigious Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery.
Langlois, who currently serves as an Advanced Care Paramedic and Operations Superintendent, was presented with the honour on May 26 at the Royal Ontario Museum.
The medal is given to paramedics who have demonstrated great bravery without concern for their personal safety, risking their lives to save others.
