Don’t miss a chance to attend NC’s highly anticipated spring craft beer festival on April 11.
Project Brew: Brews in Bloom celebrates students from the College’s trailblazing Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program. Final-term students not only plan the event but create unique craft beers to be showcased at the festival. The April 11 event will also involve additional Brewmaster students and alumni.
Guests can enjoy sampling a variety of featured Project Brew beers – 12 different brews will be available –and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.
“This event is such a fantastic opportunity for the students to join both beermaking and event planning skills in a real-life experience,” said Victor Oliveira, Manager, Catering and Special Events and Professor within the Culinary Tourism and Beverage Studies. “It’s always so gratifying to see them enjoying their own success.”
All proceeds from Project Brew will benefit the Matt Soos Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded each spring to a student at Project Brew. Donations may also be made directly to the scholarship through the ticket purchasing link or at the event itself.
Project Brew: Brews in Bloom will also feature a spring-inspired dinner and dessert fare made by students from the School of Culinary Arts. The menu was designed by Benchmark Chef Justin Downes, in collaboration with the graduating Brewmaster class.
The event will be held outdoors at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake (courtyard, weather permitting).
Tickets are $35 plus tax. Ticket price includes five beer tokens, a beer glass and an exclusive Project Brew giveaway. Additional tokens are available for purchase ($2 per token). Must be 19 years or older to participate.
