Tickets are on sale for Project Brew: Brews in Bloom.
The student-led beer festival, to be held on April 11, celebrates the next graduating class from the College’s trailblazing Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program.
Final-term students are not only the event organizers, they’re the brewers behind the14 unique Project Brew beers to be served for the occasion.
Guests can enjoy sampling a variety of featured brews and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Each beer will be judged and the winning student will be announced during the event as the winner of the Matt Soos Memorial Scholarship, which was created in memory of Brewmaster graduate, Matt Soos who passed away in 2015.
All proceeds from Project Brew will benefit the Matt Soos Memorial Scholarship. Donations may also be made directly to the scholarship through the ticket purchasing link or at the event itself.
Project Brew: Brews in Bloom will also feature a spring-inspired dinner and dessert fare made by students from the School of Culinary Arts. The menu was designed by Benchmark Chef Justin Downes, in collaboration with the graduating Brewmaster class.
The event will be held outdoors at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake (weather permitting).
Tickets are $35 plus tax. Ticket price includes five beer tokens, a beer glass and an exclusive Project Brew giveaway. Additional tokens are available for purchase ($2 per token). Must be 19 years or older to participate.
