Reminder: March 20 unveiling of community art project created by Black students and employees

A new art installation at NC’s Welland Campus will feature the creativity and perspectives of Black students and employees.

The NC Community is invited to the unveiling of a community art project on March 20 at 10 a.m. at the Welland Campus in the Learning Commons.

The quilt project celebrates the United Nation’s (UN) Decade of African Descendants and was co-created by black students and employees with local artist Nadine Williams.

The piece will feature a collection of sketches, quotes, and poetry from members of the NC community. The unveiling event will include remarks from President Sean Kennedy, artist Nadine Williams, as well as representatives from the Black Students Association.
