NC rolled out a welcome mat for alumni who work at Vintage Hotels to reconnect with their alma mater.
On November 8, a group from the College’s Executive and Advancement teams travelled to Vintage Hotels Pillar and Post and Harbour House locations in Niagara-on-the-Lake to host an alumni and employer engagement event. Their mission: to celebrate Vintage Hotels as a valued employer of NC graduates working in the hospitality and business sectors, and to connect with members of the College’s alumni community who work in diverse roles for the company, which operates luxury hotels in Niagara, as well as properties in Stratford and Caledon.
President Sean Kennedy, VP International Sean Coote, and VP Advancement Gord Arbeau attended the event along with Craig Youdale (Dean, Hospitality, Tourism and Beverage Studies), Jana Boniferro (Director, Alumni Relations) and Tom Price (Alumni Engagement Officer).
“Meeting our alumni where they are at and seeing them shine in their places of employment is part of our broader alumni engagement strategy,” said Boniferro. “Not only do we get to see them doing what they love but we collectively can see the impact they are making in our community and beyond.
“Vintage Hotels welcomes guests from all over and it is so rewarding to see our alumni be a big part of that.”
The NC team was met by Vintage Hotels staff including CEO Bob Jackson, VP Human Resources Dianna Dymond (who graduated from NC’s Human Resources program in 2000), and VP Operations, Paul MacIntyre. About 20 NC alumni who work at Vintage Hotels attended a ‘meet and greet’ reception.
This is the third community event hosted by NC Alumni Relations this year to engage with employers and meet alumni where they work to see firsthand where their NC experience has led them.
In October, an event was held at E.S. Fox’s Niagara Falls location. View: Alumni Relations connects with NC grads at E.S. Fox Limited.
