The three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) reported on NC’s largest-ever Fall convocation that celebrated nearly 2,000 students in various programs within the College’s schools of Trades, Allied Health, Business and Management, and more.

The recap article includes a quote from President Sean Kennedy’s convocation address to students that encouraged graduates to reflect proudly on their academic journey and reminded them to keep their dreams and ambitions alive as they enter the next phase of their life.

“This ceremony is about you. It’s about looking back on where you’ve come from, it’s about being present in this moment, to feel the groundswell of pride from your supporters and champions and, most importantly, to feel proud of yourself.”

The recap also highlighted the ceremony’s honorary guest, Chuck McShane, CEO of the Niagara Home Builders’ Association, who received an honorary diploma in skilled trades in recognition of his dedication to promoting skilled trades and supporting student learning.
