College operations for fall mid-term break

October 21 to October 25 is the fall mid-term break week at Niagara College. Please note the following hours for college operations, services and learning enterprises during the week.

Campus Safety & Parking Services: Access to both campus exterior doors will remain open with regular hours from 6 a.m. – midnight.

Wine Visitor + Education Centre: The Wine Visitor + Education Centre will be open with regular hours (Monday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) during the mid-term break.

Academic Advising: Academic Advising at both campuses will remain open with regular hours during the mid-term break but will be closed on Wednesday, November 23 for Niagara Day.

Athletics & Recreation: Please see below revised hours for both campus fitness centres and gymnasiums:

DJP Campus:

  • Open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Closed Saturday and Sunday October.

Welland Campus

  • Open Monday to Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Open gymnasium will be closed due to convocation set up.
  • Open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Closed Thursday and Friday for convocation.

Bookstores: The Welland Campus bookstore will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Daniel J. Patterson Campus bookstore will be closed during the mid-term break.

Career Services: Career Services at both campuses will remain open with regular hours during the mid-term break but will be closed on Wednesday, October 23 for Niagara Day.

Community Employment Services (CES): CES will remain open with regular hours during the mid-term break.

Enrolment Services: Enrollment Services at the Welland Campus will remain open with regular hours during the mid-term break Enrollment Services at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus will be closed October 24 – 25 to support with Fall convocation.

The Shack (Welland Campus) will be opened from Monday, October 21 to Wednesday, October 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed the remainder of the week.

The Undergrounds (Daniel J. Patterson Campus) will be open from Monday, October 21 to Friday, October 25 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Core and The Armoury will both be closed during the mid-term break.

Welland Campus:

Tim Hortons: open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Subway: open Monday – Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Grill/Chef Inspired: open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Nourish: open Monday – Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Market Grill: open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Pizza Pizza: open Monday – Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Tim Hortons AHI: Closed

DJP Campus:

Tim Hortons: open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Main Cafeteria including all regular services: open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Subway: open Monday – Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Health, Wellness and Accessibility Services (HWAS): HWAS at both campuses will remain open with regular hours on Monday, Thursday and Friday of the mid-term break. HWAS will be closed all day on Tuesday, October 22 and will open at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23.

COAST Niagara / Mental Health and Addiction Help Line

International Student Services: International Student Services will remain open with regular hours during the mid-term break.

Libraries and Learning Commons:

Welland Campus: Libraries and Learning Commons at the Welland Campus will remain open with regular hours, offering in-person and online services during the mid-term break, but will be closed on Wednesday, October 23 for Niagara Day.

Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake: Libraries and Learning Commons at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake will be open with modified hours from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, offering in-person services, and will be closed on Wednesday, October 23 for Niagara Day. Online services will be available during the day.

Academic Drop In and Test Centres at both campus Libraries and Learning Commons will run in person from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the mid-term break.

Teaching Brewery: The Teaching Brewery will remain open with regular hours during the mid-term break.

Teaching Spa: The Teaching Spa will be closed during the mid-term break.
