Walter Sendzik recently interviewed Craig Youdale, Dean of Culinary, Tourism, and Beverage Studies, to discuss the recent accolades earned by Niagara College’s Brewmaster and Brewery Operations students at U.S. beer competitions, as well as the upcoming Project Brew event set to take place at NC’s Daniel J. Patterson Campus on August 9.

Sendzik opens the segment by noting, “Niagara College is clearly the place known for teaching how to make great beer because they keep winning a lot of awards.”

During the interview, Youdale highlights the students’ hands-on involvement in crafting the award-winning beers that competed in the U.S. Open Beer Championship and U.S. Open College Beer Championship, as well as the regular production beers available at the College.

“Every drop of beer, whether it’s our regular production beers like Beer 101 or the small-batch brews you’ll find at Project Brew, is truly and honestly produced by our students,” says Youdale. “That’s what makes it so impressive when they win these awards.”
