The Hamilton Spectator announced the winners today in a special edition magazine. An article, Niagara College nurtures its own, was also published.
Earning this designation bring me great pride and is a testament to the outstanding workplace culture that we have built together as a welcoming, passionate, trailblazing, and student-focused community. Our unwavering commitment to our students and their success, and to embodying has contributed to a workplace that continues to be recognized among the best in the region and beyond.
Top Employer recipients were evaluated on eight criteria: physical workplace, work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.
Niagara College earned a top employer designation because of our exceptional maternity and parental leave salary top-up benefits, retirement planning assistance and generous contributions to a defined benefit pension, and subsidized access to an onsite fitness facility for health and wellness.
This significant recognition also comes as we take important strides to further a workplace culture of respect and inclusion through the work of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Blueprint.
