A November 22 article from the three Niagara dailies (Welland Tribune, St. Catharines Standard and Niagara Falls Review) reported on NC’s inaugural pride event hosted by the Rainbow Knights club and NCSAC.

In the wake of recent anti-LGBTQ demonstrations in Niagara and across Canada, the event aimed to provide a daylong celebration of inclusivity and education.

President Sean Kennedy is quoted in the article: “This is one really important element. We want to do everything we can to make sure Niagara College is as welcoming an environment as possible,” said Kennedy.

Bruin Pol, NC student and Rainbow Knights President is also quoted in the article: “We’re super happy that this is happening and that it will be continuing every year … There’s talk about expanding it even further next year,” Pol said.
