A February 8 article in the Penticton Herald and Yahoo! News Canada shared the news that NC nursing student, McKenzie Wright was recently crowned champion of the Elite National Championships for boxing. With this victory, Wright will now move into the 50-kilogram weight class and fight in Montreal at the Canadian Pan Am Games Elite Qualifier this July for a chance to compete at the Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile, in October.
