Niagara College recently wrapped up extensive consultations for the review of our Learning Management System (LMS). Over 1,200 students, faculty and staff provided direct input via surveys and focus groups on their hopes and vision for an updated system to support their learning, teaching and work.

Respondents representing every academic school and a broad range of departments across the College contributed more than 200 cumulative hours sharing their experiences with our current LMS and their hopes for an updated system. Responses exceeded targets, and the high level of engagement underscores the importance of the LMS to our college community.

On behalf of the LMS Review Teams, thanks to all those who participated in the consultations to help shape the future of learning at NC. The feedback has been analyzed and distilled into a set of NC priorities for our future LMS. A report summarizing the input and community priorities will be released in Winter 2023.

These NC priorities are the foundation of the Request for Proposal (RFP) which is currently under development and is set to be released early in the Winter Term. Platform testing, evaluation and selection will follow, and the NC community will continue to play an important role in the selection process.
