Academic and Liberal Studies is pleased to welcome Gianluca Agostinelli to our team as Communications professor.

Gianluca Agostinelli is a formally trained educator and member of the Ontario College of Teachers. He has taught at McMaster University, Brock University, and with the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Gianluca first joined Niagara College’s Welland campus as a Professor, Communications in 2017. He holds a Master of Arts in English Language & Literature, a Master of Education, and multiple certifications in ESL instruction.

Beyond the classroom, Gianluca is a writer, consultant, and emerging scholar. He is completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Studies, the research of which has been awarded $150,000 in scholarships and fellowships. Gianluca has published dozens of creative and professional works, including an academic book. A competitive athlete, he previously captained Brock University’s tennis team, which he now coaches. Gianluca is a lifelong Niagara resident, who volunteers frequently with many local, non-profit organizations.
