An article in The Niagara Independent about Niagara students who earned spots in the Skills Canada Competition from May 25 to 28 includes two NC students. Jake Boekestyn, a Welding Technician student who won gold in welding at the Skills Ontario Competition, and Matt Mackie, a Game Development student who won first place in 3D Digital Game Art at Skills Ontario, were Vancouver-bound to compete in-person in their respective disciplines at the national competition.
