On February 16, Bernie Puchalski with BPSN wrote a feature on NC Board of Governor Poppy Gilliam, who is serving as the soccer co-lead for the upcoming Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.
Gilliam is well versed in the sport – she played soccer on scholarship at Brown University, was a member of Team Ontario and played for Brock University, where she led her team in scoring. Gilliam will share soccer co-lead duties with Knights men’s soccer Coach and NC Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology Frank DeChellis, who is also mentioned in the article.
