In this article in The Niagara-on-the-Lake Local, Mike Balsom takes a look back at Music Niagara’s 2020 festival season and NC’s Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film program receives a mention.
This past summer, the BRTF crew helped the music organization adapt its annual festival by filming a series of live concerts as part of the “At Home Concert Series.” The concerts were made available on Music Niagara’s website for viewers to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their homes.
Music Niagara Festival chair Richard Baker is quoted in the article, speaking to the partnership with NC:
“Karen (Lade, general manager) and Atis worked very closely with Niagara College (Broadcasting Faculty and students) and we’re very happy that we were able to collaborate with them in the filming,” he explains. “All of a sudden we’ve become more confident in our ability to film and record what ends up becoming very satisfying and professional-looking musical concerts.”
