He writes about the many ways NC has offered support to the Niagara Health Foundation, including the donation of over 30,000 pieces of personal protective equipment, the production of over 7,000 face shields by NC’s Research and Innovation, as well as 70 per cent alcohol sanitizer produced by NC’s Teaching Distillery. Dube outlines that the College is able to produce 200 face shields each day, leveraging the tools and technology in the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre.
Niagara Health Foundation president and chief executive officer Roger D. Ali says, “We are extremely grateful to Niagara College for their support and generosity. This donation will provide our frontline workers with critical protective equipment to help them respond to COVID-19.. These items will protect our health-care professionals as they treat our friends, neighbours and loved ones.”
