Retiring Niagara College president Dr. Dan Patterson was featured in this re-release by the City of Welland in Education News Canada, having been presented with Key to the City by Mayor Frank Campion on February 4.
The gesture honours Dr. Patterson as “one of the city’s most advanced and dynamic leaders,” and commemorates his 25 years of service as Niagara College’s leader. The release credits Dr. Patterson for his visionary leadership, being a leader of innovation and an architect of cutting-edge education.
Mayor Campion says, “I have enjoyed working with Dr. Patterson over the past several years. He created and maintained an excellent working relationship with us, which assisted our economic development efforts. His leadership at the college resulted in dynamic growth in programming and facilities at the Welland Campus that provided excellent employment and educational opportunities for our community. On behalf of City Council and staff, I wish Dr. Patterson the very best in his retirement.”
