A Message from Pam Skinner, Senior Vice President, Corporate Services:
After 25 years of providing the college with expert human resources advice and support, director of human resources Nicole Perreault has decided to retire from the College effective March 31, 2020. Nicole’s optimistic demeanour and insightful perspective will be greatly missed by the entire college community. She personifies our NC DNA in her welcoming approach, her passion for the students and the staff of the College, and her trailblazing approach as she readily seizes opportunities to embrace new ideas and approaches, and overcomes challenges with tenacity.
Nicole joined the college in 1994 as a Human Resources Officer, attracted by the vision and culture of the college, which she has helped us to sustain throughout her career with us. Over the years she progressed to new roles as manager, senior manager/associate director and finally director of human resources. She is widely respected across the sector and is frequently sought after for advice by her peers. She has a team that is second-to-none, whom she inspires by her energy and vision, mentors with genuine caring, and leads with the collective and the individual in mind. She has led the transformation of the HR department, which has taken a strong team and made it even better, with an eye on client-focused service and long-term sustainability of expertise.
A search process for a new director of human resources is under development, and a retirement celebration will be held so that each member of the college community can personally thank Nicole for all she has done, and wish her well as she moves on to a new chapter in her life.
