Order your Christmas Stollen by Dec. 11 and support the United Way

A Christmas Stollen fundraiser for United Way is underway at the College’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute.

Stollen is a traditional German bread usually enjoyed during Christmas. Often coated with sugar and icing sugar, this bread is filled with Rum soaked fruit, nuts, spices and a centre of marzipan. It is a great accompaniment for a Christmas sweet tray.

There are only 100 loaves that will be baked for the holidays, and the $8 purchase will support  the local United Way.

The loaves are being prepared by the NC Baking Club and chef Karen Schoenrank.

For more information, please contact Karen Schoenrank at kschoenrank@niagaracollege.ca.
