Cogeco TV 10 will broadcast the Niagara College Knights first game at the OCAA Women’s Volleyball Championships vs Trent University on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 3 pm.
The Niagara Knights women’s volleyball program (13-5, 2nd OCAA West) heads to the OCAA Championship at Canadore College in North Bay from February 25-27. The Knights enter the championship having received a bye through the first round as a result of their second place regular season finish.
Niagara will open the event on Thursday afternoon at 3:00pm against the Trent Voyageurs (16-4, 3rd OCAA East). The year’s team features a balanced offensive attached quarterbacked by Bailey Davis (Georgetown). Davis finished among league leaders in both service aces and assists per set, which contributed to the Knights finishing among the OCAA’s leaders in offence.
Should the Knights win their opening match they will compete in the semi-finals on February 26 at 6:00pm against either the Durham Lords (19-1, 1st OCAA East) or Cambrian Golden Shield (10-8, 4th OCAA West). The OCAA championship will be played at 4:00pm on Saturday, February 26.
