Peer Services

Peer services supports including individual and group tutoring to assist with student success and retention, offered at course, subject, and program levels.

Technology

$35.00/term

Revenue from this fee supports enhanced technology services for student to access academic services, and computing and learning centre services not already funded through tuition fees and MCU funding.

NCSAC Student Resources

$6.00/term

Academic supports provided by NC Student Administrative Council (NCSAC) include assistance with students navigating various policies, including but not limited to academic appeals and student issues processes within student services.

Athletics and Recreation

$81.60/term

Fees supporting the operating and capital costs of athletic facilities made available to the broader student body, as well as recreation and fitness programming. Visit goknights.ca.

Alumni

$20.00/term

The alumni fee is used to support the services provided by the Office of Alumni Relations. The Alumni Council provides meaningful services to alumni and support to provide scholarships and bursaries to current students.

Campus Safety

$5.00/term

Fees that support programs and services that promote on-campus safety, including the prevention of sexual violence, and walk safe programs which provide students, faculty and staff free night-time accompaniment for those who are uncomfortable or who are unable to walk alone.

Career Services

$23.60/term

Fees to support career-related services made available to the broader student body, including career counselling, information sessions, job fairs, job boards and job placement.

Student Engagement

$42.00/term

The Student Engagement Fee funds various initiatives and programs aimed at supporting students throughout their time at Niagara College. At the onset of each term, a vibrant month-long Orientation program will be offered to help students familiarize themselves with the campus resources and support systems available while having some fun. Beyond orientation, the fee contributes to a diverse range of initiatives, including leadership programming, mentorship opportunities, social inclusion events, community volunteering, and engaging activities designed to enhance student involvement. Detailed information about all programming can be accessed through the College’s Student Engagement app, NC Engage, and participation can be recorded as part of the co-curricular record.

Financial Aid Offices

Fees that support enhanced financial aid office services to students that help students navigate, understand and monitor the status of their financial aid.

Counselling and Mental Health Services

Access to qualified health professionals, mental health services and counselling.

Professional Health Services

$40.00/term

Access to health professionals for basic medical care in campus clinics, and basic health resources.

Student Achievements and Records

$60.00/term based on a 2-year program, collected in the first year of a program.

Fees related to the administrative costs of producing documents of student achievement, such as diplomas and transcripts as well as costs related to convocation.

Student Buildings

$108.50/term

Fees that support spaces and facilities that host student activities and services which are not supported through the government operating and capital grants.

Student ID Cards

$10.00/term

Student ID cards identify individuals as students at their college and are used for access to services and facilities such as athletic centres, library and media services. The cards may also be required for exams and accessing academic records.

Student Health Plan

September 2025 – August 2026 – 12 month coverage – $330.00

January 2026 – August 2026 – 8 month coverage – $270.00

May 2026 – August 2026 – 4 month coverage – $210.00

This fee supplies student benefits, services and administration as approved by the Student Administrative Council (NCSAC). This may include an increase in coverage from year to year. Students can opt out of the program provided that proof of adequate alternative coverage is presented to the NC Student Administrative Council (NCSAC).

NCSAC Clubs

$8.00/term

The clubs fee allows you to enhance your student experience and engage with peers, fostering a sense of community on campus. Feel free to join an existing club ranging from general interest/hobby, socially minded or academically focused. Can’t find a club you like? Start your own!

NCSAC Membership

$20.00/term

This fee enables your Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC) to advocate for you, the student, at an institutional, municipal, provincial and federal level.

From advocacy support during events like strikes on campus, to advocating for students during announcements like referendums, your NCSAC exists to support and advocate for you. Remaining a member also allows you employment opportunities, volunteer opportunities and other student life experiences throughout the year with regards to NCSAC.

NCSAC Services

$20.00/term

From the student organizational handbook and scholarships, to discounted amusement tickets, graduation photos and other useful student services, your NCSAC provides meaningful support for you throughout your academic term.

NCSAC Social Engagement

$27.00/term

Your college experience takes place both inside and outside of the classroom. The NCSAC social engagement fee allows you to take part in exciting orientation events, entertaining concerts, celebrity appearance events, pop-up events, cultural celebrations and other activities hosted at both campuses. From discounted tickets to exclusive event offerings, this fee will help you create college memories to last a life time!

NCSAC Advocacy Fee

$4.40/term

The NCSAC Advocacy Student Advocacy Fee will be used to fund membership fees to the newly formed Ontario not-for-profit organization called Ontario Student Voices. This is a provincial advocacy group that will lobby on behalf of NCSAC members and also act as a student government community to NCSAC Board Members.

The fee will be used to support advocacy initiatives on campus, in the community and at provincial and federal levels of government. Additionally, it will be used to support relevant membership to membership organizations who will lobby on behalf of our NCSAC membership.

Sustainability

$2.00/term

Revenue from this fee support sustainability initiatives at the college. The Niagara College Student Administrative Council and other key college stakeholders are working towards the addition of worthwhile green development, campus naturalization, and sustainable projects on campus, in conjunction with the office of Sustainability.

Universal Bus Pass (UPass)

$280.00/term

The Universal Bus Pass (U-Pass) fee is charged to all full-time postsecondary students, with the option for some part-time students also available to opt into the program. The fee provides for the cost of transit services and route coverage, as approved and administered by the Student Administrative Council Inc. The service provides students with access to transit across almost the entire Niagara Region to the Niagara College campuses.
