Where are the multi-faith prayer rooms located on campus?

Niagara College recognizes and appreciates that many students and employees require a private space to practice their faith. For this reason, we have space allocated for students and employees who wish to worship and reflect and for student faith-based groups to congregate, including a multi-faith room and Wudu washing area.

Where are the Pride Crosswalks located on each campus?

Welland Campus
  • North Road entrance between Parking Lot C and the Athletics Building.
Daniel J. Patterson Campus (Niagara-on-the-Lake)
  • Taylor Road entrance between the entrance to the Wine Visitor Education Centre and Parking Lot A.

Initially installed in 2019 using the classic Pride flag, these crosswalks were updated in 2023 when Niagara College adopted the most current version of the Progress Pride Flag. The colours represent identities of various members of 2SLGBTQIA+ community: the traditional Pride flag colors, plus a five-coloured chevron and the black and brown stripes. The black and brown stripes have been interpreted in two ways:

  1. To represent racial diversity within the community
  2. To represent those lost to HIV/AIDS, and those currently living with AIDS

The inclusion of pink, light blue, and white pay homage to the Transgender Pride flag. The purple circle overlaid over a yellow triangle in the chevron on the left side of the flag represents the intersex flag.
