To support awareness and education about REDress Day (February 14), this week’s feature film is Fancy Dance, which is available on Apple TV+.
Fancy Dance (2023) is a gripping drama starring Lily Gladstone as Jax, a Seneca-Cayuga woman on a desperate road trip across Oklahoma to find her missing sister before the upcoming powwow. While caring for her teenage niece, Roki (Isabel Deroy-Olson), Jax defies legal risks to keep their family together, highlighting the urgent, under-reported crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).
