February 27, 1:00pm – 2:00pm

T&L Conversations are small, informal, and guided conversations akin to a book or journal club. Participants come together virtually to discuss key impressions of the focus resource and reflect on how the themes explored in the resource relate to our lived experiences as educators.

Join colleagues from Niagara, Mohawk, Fanshawe, Lambton, and St. Clair Colleges in a guided conversation to discuss your insights and reflections on the following resource:

Ungrading: An Introduction (Blogpost presentation by Jesse Stommel)

https://www.jessestommel.com/ungrading-an-introduction/

“Ungrading” means raising an eyebrow at grades as a systemic practice, distinct from simply “not grading.” The word is a present participle, an ongoing process, not a static set of practices.

If you are curious about ungrading please read the resource and join T&L Conversations to discuss the pedagogical purpose and possibilities behind ungrading and how it can be part of a larger picture of how and why we teach.

The session will be offered via Blackboard Collaborate.  The link to join will be provided to all registrants no later than one hour before the start of the session.
