What are T&L (Teaching & Learning) Conversations?

T&L Conversations are small, informal, and guided conversations akin to a book or journal club. Participants come together virtually to discuss key impressions of the selected resource and reflect on how the themes explored in the resource relate to our lived experiences as educators. Join colleagues from Niagara, Mohawk, Fanshawe, Lambton, and St. Clair Colleges in a guided conversation to discuss your insights and reflections on the resource below.

Description: In her Inside Higher Ed article, Jaynie C. Mitchell reflects on how higher education professionals can stay grounded amid constant change. She urges readers to acknowledge the emotional impact of transitions, focus on what’s within their control, and engage proactively rather than resist. Mitchell’s five lessons – recognizing the emotional toll, finding your center, staying the course, engaging with change, and being part of the solution—offer a practical, hopeful approach to navigating ongoing transformation in higher ed.
