Please note that we close registration one hour before the session begins.

Join Siscoe Boschman, Jaclyn Chambers Page (both Library Facilitators) and Jodi Steele (faculty member with the School of Justice and Fitness) to explore the possibilities of Open Educational Resources (OER).   Learn how OER can help you and your students succeed in the online environment through this overview of OER essentials. We will spend a little time on how you can publish your own work among these resources by highlighting a recent project featuring Jodi’s work.

By the end of this session, you should be able to:

  1. Describe the defining characteristics of an OER.
  2. Articulate the importance of OER to both faculty and students.
  3. Identify locations where one can go to access Open Educational Resources.
  4. Explain the steps required to adapt, adopt, or create an OER for your own TLP.

Please remember that to participate fully in the sessions, you will require a PC, laptop, tablet, or mobile device; a stable internet connection; and speakers (built-in or external).  Collaborate will work most effectively on the Google Chrome browser.

NOTE: We will email you a link to join the session no later than one hour before the session.
