Any student facing staff or faculty are welcome to join this workshop and the workshop is being offered in a hybrid format.

The Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE) and the Student Rights and Responsibilities Office (SRRO) have partnered to welcome Krystal Snider, Executive Disruptor at Collaborative Community Solutions, to help all of us better understand human trafficking.

Through her experience as a survivor of human trafficking and her extensive work in feminist agencies, Krystal focus is on addressing systemic barriers and root causes to human trafficking. She has provided workshops worldwide, including Brock University and the World YWCA Council in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Krystal will be joining us at the DJP campus to educate us about human trafficking, what signs to look for with students who may be experiencing danger, and how to help when we have concerns.

This 2-hour workshop will include opportunities for discussion and questions, as well as breakout groups and case studies. Upon registration you will be given the option of joining in person or online.

Supports will be available for staff who may require them after this session.
