Loading Events

September 9, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

At Niagara College, we have two main institutionally-supported technologies that can provide robust ecosystems for group work.  Both Blackboard and Microsoft Teams allow for the creation of groups and serve to aggregate tools that support synchronous and asynchronous group collaboration.

In this session, we will review and compare group functionality within Blackboard and Microsoft Teams according to five main categories:

  • Group Formation
  • Group Collaboration Tools
  • Group Oversight, Grading and Feedback
  • Key Benefits of the Group Interface
  • Key Limitations of the Group Interface

Please review the following important notes:

  • Registration for each session will close 1 hour prior to the start time.
  • To participate fully in the session, you will require an internet enabled device and a stable internet connection.
  • You will receive a confirmation email to confirm your registration, however many times it is diverted to spam.  Please check your Sophos filter – https://sophosnc.niagaracollege.ca/
  • You will receive a link to join the online session 1 hour before the session is due to begin.
